University of Colorado shares updates on FY26 appropriations and federal worker regulations

On February 12, 2026, the University of Colorado’s Federal Relations and Counsel provided an update covering several federal matters. The update included details about fiscal year 2026 appropriations, a final rule from the Office of Personnel Management regarding federal workers, and ongoing discussions between the White House and Harvard University seeking a settlement.

An earlier update on February 3 also addressed fiscal year 2026 appropriations. It discussed a delay in involuntary payment collections by the Department of Education as well as developments in negotiated rulemaking by the agency.
