Dr. William G. Wright has been recognized for his more than four decades of service to the Colorado medical community. Since joining the board of the Colorado Physician Health Program (CPHP) in 2014, Dr. Wright has held several leadership positions, including secretary, vice chair, and chair.

Throughout his tenure, Dr. Wright has advocated for physician health as a mentor, educator, and leader. He played a key role in launching initiatives aimed at improving mental health and wellness among medical professionals in Colorado. One such initiative is the Doc2Doc Wellbeing Consulting Program, which was created in partnership with the Colorado Medical Society (CMS). This program provides immediate support to healthcare professionals dealing with burnout, stress, and related challenges.

Dr. Wright’s guidance has been important for CPHP as it adapted to changes in healthcare and responded to events like the pandemic. During these times, he provided perspective, advice, and compassionate support.
